Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Correspond, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, that's okay — but please don't use the service. We've tried to keep these straightforward and fair.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Correspond uses magic link authentication (no passwords), so protect access to the email address associated with your account. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. If you think someone has gained unauthorized access, contact us immediately.
Acceptable use
Correspond is built for personal updates to people who want to hear from you. Please don't use it to send spam, unsolicited marketing, or bulk emails to people who haven't agreed to receive them. Don't use it for anything illegal, abusive, harassing, or harmful. Don't upload content that infringes on someone else's rights. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.
Your content
You own everything you write and upload to Correspond. Your updates, your images, your words — they're yours. By using the service, you give us permission to store, process, and deliver your content to your recipients as part of providing the service. We won't use your content for any other purpose.
Service availability
We do our best to keep Correspond running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may need to take the service down temporarily for maintenance or updates. We'll try to give you notice when we can, but sometimes things break unexpectedly.
Termination
You can stop using Correspond at any time. If you want your data deleted, contact us and we'll remove everything. We may also terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. If we ever need to shut down the service entirely, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Correspond and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know by email or through the app. Continued use of Correspond after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
