What we collect

When you use Correspond, we collect the information you provide directly: your name and email address when you create an account, the content of the updates you write, the names and email addresses of the people you add to your recipient list, and any images you upload. We also store "moments" — quick notes and photos you send in via email to include in future updates.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide the service: sending your updates to your recipients, storing your update archive so you can look back on it, delivering moment reminder emails, and managing your account. We don't read your updates, analyze your content, or use your data for advertising. Your data exists to serve you, not us.

Third-party services

To run Correspond, we rely on a small number of trusted third-party services: a database and authentication provider to store your data and manage sign-ins, an email delivery service to send your updates and transactional emails, and a cloud storage provider for images you upload. These services process your data only as needed to provide their function to us. We do not sell or share your data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as you have an active account. Your updates are stored so you can access your archive at any time. If you want to delete your account and all associated data — your updates, recipient list, moments, and images — contact us and we'll remove everything permanently. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

Cookies

We use cookies only for authentication — to keep you signed in to your account. We don't use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies. That's it.

Children's privacy

Correspond is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this privacy policy, we'll notify you by email or through the app. We won't quietly reduce your rights — if something changes, you'll know about it.
